January 13 – Cashmere sweater

Jan 13

Today I’m giving away a camel cashmere sweater from Lands End.  It’s about two years old, but apart from a little wrinkle on the front, it is in perfect shape and looks quite new.  It hasn’t developed that bally texture that happens with wool sweaters, even good ones.  Don’t worry, it didn’t live on a hanger, I just put it on one to take the picture.  It was either folded or stored on one of those big quilted puffy hangers made just for sweaters.

I still like this sweater and the colour, which is a little warmer than it looks on my monitor.  It is very warm though, and I don’t think it is flattering because it isn’t really long enough, even for my short wastedness.  This is my first piece of clothing on this blog, but it’s not going to be the last.  I’m toying with a whole month of clothes to really get my closets cleaned out, maybe in February or March.

I’m giving this to my sister.  She has the same colouring as me and is a little shorter and trimmer and it will look a lot better on her.  She’s happy to have it too which is always the best part.

About todayigaveaway

I'm trying to make more space in my life so I'm getting rid of stuff. All the things that I've been hanging on to that might have some utility for someone else, if no longer for me. I'm going to try to give something away every day.
