January 16 – Clip on earings

Jan 16

Today I’m giving away a pair of clip-on earings.  They’re brushed silver (coloured, not the real thing).  These earrings are pretty, but they’re too big on me and possibly too big for 2013.  I do subscribe to the notion that if you wore the fashion trend the first time around, you should avoid it when it resurfaces.  I had satellite dish earrings in the 80’s like everyone else, and these along with shoulder pads, fuchsia lipstick, and large buttons are part of my past.

I have found a good destination for my clothing and jewellery donations.  There is a local social services non-profit group called New Circles.  A friend of mine let me know that this is where she sends her clothes when she’s done with them.  This organization specifically services a few neighbourhoods in Toronto.  They are good communities with big immigrant populations and very high density housing.  One if them, Thorncliffe Park is not too far from me, and I’m pretty familiar with it.  It’s a good organization and I’m happy to support them.  http://www.newcircles.ca/index.htm

About todayigaveaway

I'm trying to make more space in my life so I'm getting rid of stuff. All the things that I've been hanging on to that might have some utility for someone else, if no longer for me. I'm going to try to give something away every day.
