January 28 – Wheat products

Jan 28

Today I’m giving away these wheat based foods.  Okay – actually, I gave them away on the weekend.  About 6 months ago I gave up gluten and it’s been a great decision.  I feel better in general, but really notice it in my joints and digestive system.  My body just works better now.

My friends who moved to Victoria gave me food from their kitchen before they left and I knew if I kept these, I’d end up eating them so I took them to the cottage to distribute them among my weekend guests to take home.  They are numbered because everyone was being too polite to say what they wanted so I needed a method to divvy them up.  I asked ridiculous trivia questions, that I found online, and when someone answered correctly they picked a number from a hat.  Magically, everyone got something.  I’m not sure a half box of Stoned Wheat Thins is as good as an unopened bag of organic flour, but nobody seemed to care.

I don’t anticipate many more food give aways.  It’s a bit weird giving away your food… unless you’re moving or you’ve baked for someone.  I am not planning to do either soon.

About todayigaveaway

I'm trying to make more space in my life so I'm getting rid of stuff. All the things that I've been hanging on to that might have some utility for someone else, if no longer for me. I'm going to try to give something away every day.

  1. When I was diagnosed with coeliacs disease I had a huge pantry full of foods I could no longer eat. Oh, and a freezer. I filled up the cupboards in my tenants unit, they were so excited.

I’ve never before seen a blog about giving away stuff, I like it 🙂
