February 5 – Ikea Paper ribbon

Feb 5

Today I’m giving away two spools, unopened, of this unusual recoiling paper ribbon in festive green and black.  I bought it in a rush two or three years ago to tie up our cookie bags at Christmas.  My family has a long tradition of baking a massive amount of gingerbread and sugar cookies and decorating them to give away as holiday gifts.  My artist sister always comes up with something interesting to package them in.  I thought I’d contribute to the wrapping so bought what I thought was simple cord, it was inexpensive and bright.  It’s actually an unravelling kind of paper ribbon that goes really big when you unwind it.  It would be good if you made large bows but that wasn’t what we wanted and I have never used them, so I’m giving them away.

One of my sisters runs a parenting centre and is a genius with a kiddy craft table.  I’m going to give them to her for her classroom.  No doubt, hose preschoolers will come up with something artistic and amazing.

About todayigaveaway

I'm trying to make more space in my life so I'm getting rid of stuff. All the things that I've been hanging on to that might have some utility for someone else, if no longer for me. I'm going to try to give something away every day.
