Today I’m giving away this sponge bag or toiletries bag. It was a G with P from Estee Lauder from who knows when. It’s been at least two years since I bought mainstream cosmetics so it’s at least that old, probably older. I encourage you to read There’s Lead in Your Lipstick, by the very clever Gillian Deacon, you’ll never buy from the big department store or drug store brands again. I now buy most of my cosmetics and toiletries at The Carrot or Wholefoods.
I don’t think I’ve ever used this bag. I resist anything that adds additional weight to my suitcase and found that a clear vinyl bag from MEC is the lightest and best way to transport toiletries and still have weight allowance for your travel shopping.
I’m giving the bag to my artist sister. The best thing about it is that it has a vinyl lining and would be good for storing paints, pencils, short brushes or any other messy tools of her trade. She also shares the family attachment to bags of all types.
